State of the Instance (December 2022)
Planned downtime
The instance will be down for maintenance on 6th 7th of January 2023, starting roughly around 08:00 UTC (around midnight in America). The maintenance should take a few hours, although it is possible that it will take days. I'll find some way to display the current status instead of an error message when you visit the site.
In addition, I'll briefly take the instance down in the next few days to double the block storage capacity, since it's cheap and the free space will be useful for the greater maintenance. This should only take an hour.

4 years of Cawfee Club
This instance was launched on the 3rd of January 2019, so it will be 4 years old soon. While the original intention was to make a place where me and my internet friends can post in peace, it has somehow gained a traction of its own, which still baffles me. Even according to sites with stats like fediverse.observer, Cawfee Club seems to be consistently in the top 15 Pleroma instances by various metrics, like last month users here. That's insane!
Of course that's nowhere near the numbers top Mastodon instances have, but who cares about them.
